Pint & Dale- Currently residing in the Pacific Northwest,
William and Felicia, whose father was a sea captain, have traveled the world using their powerful harmonies and dramatic instrumental work on guitar, hurdy gurdy, mandolin, penny whistles and various other exotic instruments, to evoke the music and myth of the people who live by the sea. They perform in English and French and have released several recordings on the Waterbug label.
Serre l'Ecoute- The trio, Gabrielle Bouthillier (voice,
piano, triangle), Liette Remon (voice, pieds, flute), and
Robert Bouthillier (voice, guimbardes, cuillers, and is the
father of Gabrielle) specialize in French and French-
Canadian maritime music. Their music traces the link between
the maritime traditions of France and the Great Lakes
region. This will be their first performance in the United
States since the release of their CD Chansons des bords du
Saint-Laurent. Gabrielle and Liette reside in Montreal,
Canada; Robert resides in Paris.
Talitha MacKenzie- Talitha was immersed in the music of many
lands while growing up in New York. and began singing as a
child. In the following years, she earned a degree in music
history and ethnomusicology, spent years in the
international dance scene, sang in numerous choral groups,
and researched and performed music from Russia, Scotland,
the Balkans, and the Caribbean. She became one of the
foremost Gaelic singers in the world and founded the
innovative duo, Mouth Music whose eponymous album topped
the charts in Music Week and Billboard. Talitha's
experience as deckhand and shantyman aboard tall ships led
to the recording Shantyman. She has recently returned from
Hollywood where she sang with the London Bulgarian Choir on
the soundtrack for the blockbuster movieTroy.
Lee Murdock has uncovered a boundless body of music and stories in the Great Lakes. There is an amazing timelessness in this music. Great Lakes songs are made of hard word, hard living, ships that go down and ships that come in.
The music is grounded in the work song tradition, from the rugged days of lumberjacks and wooden sailing schooners. Murdock comes alongside with ballads of contemporary commerce and revelry in the grand folk style. Lee's fans have discovered a sweetwater treasure in his songs about the Great Lakes, finding drama and inspiration in the lives of sailors and fishermen, lighthouse keepers, ghosts, shipwrecks, outlaws and everyday heroes
Tom and Chris Kastle- Tom and Chris are singers, sailors,
songwriters and storytellers, internationally acclaimed for
their interpretations of traditional material as well as
their original works. They have performed at festivals,
concerts, and on radio and television throughout the United
States and in Canada and Europe.
In 1985 they started to pursue sailing as a way of life and
have experienced, first-hand, the traditions and cultural
diversity of life at sea, serving as crew aboard tall ships
and other traditional sailing vessels. Tom also works as a
licensed captain. They celebrate the bounty and beauty of
our earth, both land and sea, with their engaging
performances, warm and inviting vocals and skillful
instrumentation.

David HB Drake follows in the wake of Gordon Bok and Stan Rogers writing first hand ballads of the maritime experience. David has served aboard several tall ships as ships musician including the Denis Sullivan, HMS Bounty, and Clearwater. His recent release "Fisherman's Beach" presents his original songs from fresh water

Bounding Mainis a vocal group that brings traditional sea shanties and nautical ballads to life with a theatrical flair and a sound pleasant to the contemporary listener. This Chicago-Milwaukee-based group has enjoyed performing at music, nautical and history festivals, at museums and on tall ships throughout the Midwest.

Sheridan Shore Chantey Singers gather every month at the Sheridan Shore Yacht Club at beautiful Wilmette Harbor to sing the work songs and ballads of the sea. They have appeared at numerous chantey sings as well as in concert at the annual Christmas Tree Ship event at Chicago.s Navy Pier.
